2015 astoria 2015 regatta Dignitaries regatta 2015 astoria 2015 astoria regatta regatta admiral Patrick Reiten Admiral’s Aide Andrew Bornstein Patrick Reiten is president and chief executive officer of PacifiCorp Transmission. He was appointed to this position in March 2015 and is responsible for managing the West’s largest single owned-and-operated transmission system. He oversees transmission services, transmission planning and system operations as well as the company’s transmission expansion projects. Prior to his current position, Reiten served as president and CEO of Pacific Power, responsible for delivering electricity safely and reliably to 733,000 customers in Oregon, Washington and California, Pacific Power is a 105-year-old company serving 243 communities. Reiten has actively maintained director or board leadership roles in community and industry interests. Currently, he serves as chair of Associated Oregon Industries and co-chair of The Freshwater Trust; he also serves on the Legacy Health System board of directors and the Oregon Business Council. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science with an emphasis in economics from the University of Washington and completed executive training at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. Reiten lives in Portland with his wife Randi and their three children. Father of twin toddlers August and Cameron and husband to Amy Bornstein, Bornstein spends his remaining time as an owner and executive of Bornstein Seafoods Inc., a more than 80-year-old, family owned seafood company in the Pacific Northwest. Working on a diverse array of strategic initiatives, most of Bornstein’s time is spent working with the fishing fleets to ensure a steady supply of product to the processing plants. Other areas of focus include corporate development, industry participation in policy making, marketing and branding, as well as new business development. Bornstein owns Bornstein Seafoods Inc. with his brothers Kyle and Colin, and is looking forward to celebrating 100 years in business in the not-too-distant future. Bornstein also had the privilege to participate in the founding of Astoria’s newest great brewery, Buoy Beer Company. Bornstein graduated with an M.B.A. in 2007 from University of San Francisco and received his Bachelor of Science in biology in 2002 from Santa Clara University.
