Kirchem, who has been spending the Christmas holidays with his family at Logan, left Sunday for Rosalia, Wash., to resume work with the locating crew of the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railway, which is operating under the direction of D. The neighbors and friends of Jen nings Lodge tendered a farewell sur prise on Mr. George Morse at his ber 28. It was a complete surprise. The auditorium of the McLoughlln Institute was crowded Friday night with people in attendance at the Christmas entertainment given by the pupils of the school. The affair was very successful, about $75 being real ized. The stage was tastefully decor ated In harmony with the holiday sea son, with small Christmas-trees and garlands. After an Interesting pro gramme was rendered, Santa Claus appeared and passed around boxes of candy to the people in the audience. Saint Nick announced that he saw an old-time, cold-weather friend in the au dience in the person of Henry Andres, who is just down from Alaska. This sally provoked laughter and applause.
