Francis Gallowny, a student at the University of Oregon, is spending the Easter vacation with his parents, at Parkplace. Robert Hughes and son, Ed, left Monday for Lake county for a six weeks' trip, and will return with a string of range horses. Roy W. Kelly and Jack Latourette arrived home Saturday night from Eugene to spend the Easter vacation with their families in this city. W. E. Mallory, supreme vice-president of Mie Lincoln Annuity Union, of San Francisco, is in the city organ izing an assembly of that order. Miss Edna Caufield and Miss Edna Daulton, students at the University of Oregon, arrived home from Eugene Saturday night for the Easter vaca tion. Earl MoAdam, who has been em ployed at Busch's furniture store, has gone to ;oin his parents, Prof, and Mrs. McAdam, in Pendleton, and will remain for an indefinite time. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Cowing, daugh ter and grandson, of Alexandria, Minn., are visiting his brother, Judge T. F. Cowing, and will re main .here until after the opening of the Lewis and Clark Fair. They have been spending the winter in Pasedena, Cal. John Hess,' who has been foreman of the Cascade Laundry since the place was opened, left Friday night with his family for Woodburn, where he has taken a year's contract with the Woodburn steam laundry, to assume charge of their operations there. Bert 0. Ross came in Saturday tn answer a charge of carrying a con cealed weapon, preferred by Charles Birtchet of Marquam. As Ross had already pai 1 a flue of $10 in the Mol alla justice court, he was released, pending an investigation of the mat ter by Deputy District Attorney Schuebel. Local Teachers' Institute. Local institute of Clackamas county teachers will be held at Parkplace schoolhouse next Saturday, commenc ing at 10:30 a. m.
