God of love 55. Not a single one Jon Tracy was born on March 17, 1952 and died on July 7, 2015. He was born in Phoe- nix, Az. and came to Port- land in 1961, moving to the North Portland area. Jon went to James John Elementary School and was a 1970 graduate of Roosevelt High School. He was on the Honor Roll and received a two-year scholarship to Mt. Hood Community College. He worked at McDonalds through high school, and then after college worked at Radkes as an Auto Parts Manager. He was also a builder of homes for a while, and then he owned and operated his own machine shop and rebuilt engines. After a time, he went into Real Estate where he became a top-listing agent three years in a row. Jon enjoyed Golf, traveling, NASCAR, was an Angels fan and went to many baseball games. He loved his home, family and friends. Jon leaves behind his wife, Michelle Whaley Tracy, also a 1970 graduate of Roosevelt; daughter Tiffi ny Hillstrom; sons, John Tracy, Ryan Mc- Cready, Kevin McCready, and Brendon McCready; Parents: Roger and Suzanne Camp- bell; brother, Pat Tracy; Sister, Carolyn Tracy Gmirkin; eight grandchildren; cousins, and many friends. Michael Paul Rains 3/28/1943 – 6/14/2015 Michael was born in Portland Oregon and raised in St Johns. He attended James John School and graduated from Roosevelt High School. Mike was a member of Troupe 52 Boys Scouts. He attended Multnomah Jr. College, an extension of Portland State, and graduated with an associated degree in general studies and working at Joe Fisher Ford and getting skilled in mechanics. In 1963 Mike enlisted in the Army and served his country for over 23 years attaining the rank of Sgt First Class/E7 in his mechanic trade. In 1986 Mike (Rock) was given an Honorable Medical Discharge and then went to work for Evergreen Aviation. While working for Evergreen he was sent to Iraq to help put together equipment to put out the oil fi res. In 1966 Michael married Victo- ria Heine; they had three children, Beth, Scott and Todd. In 1993 he mar- ried his friend since grade school, Janice (nee: Frutchey) Hovde. They celebrated over 21 years. They were very active serving in their home church: St Johns Christian Church. Michael was a good hus- band, brother, father, friend and neighbor, always wanting to help others with his skills and talents and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed gardening and as he got older decided it was time to ease the back and then built raised beds to enjoy gardening in more comfort. ☺ Michael is survived by his wife, Janice, his sister Linda (Tom) Nelson, children Beth (Edwin) Bosshart of North Carolina, Scott (Debra) Rains of Vancouver, WA, and Todd Rains of North Caroli- na; Nephew John Nelson (Mindi) and six grandchildren. Michael was buried with honors at Willamette National Ceme- tery. A memorial and celebration of life was held at the St Johns Christian Church on June 27, 2015.
