Tho reduction in tho police force throughout the city has certainly created an undesirable state 0 f affairs, it is deplorable that such should be the case, and it is hoped that such condition will not remain so long. People pay for police pro tection, and are willing to pay for it. Either add more policemen or provide each with seven league boots. Tho W. C. T.
