The tract of land knowd as Agency Plains, to wliich land there was a rush of setilers last winter and this spring, is now completely covered with little cabins of the homesteaders and fenc ing and improving are going on at a great rate. This land is pronounced excellent wheat soil and will produce as much as the land in Sherman county- Jas. 8, Kelley, of Wasco, will be here in a few days with a complete photographic outfit and will be pre-1 1 r ! paien to take pictures that will look like the original. Dir.k Breuje was down from his farm at the nead of Gravy Gulch on Pov erty flat last week and reports that he has his hay and grain all in. One would naturally infer from the name cf the locality where he lives that it was not a very desirable place, but Dick has some of the finest hogs and cattle in the county, not to say any thing of his line farm, Hecomplains that there has been a lot of needless crippling of s;ige hens on his premises and that a recurrence of the matter will cause him to post trespass notices and keep hunters olf his premises al together. T. H. Lafolletr was in from his stock farm the hitter part of last week mak ing final proof on his tirnbei claim.
