N The J. H Reeds Entertain For Out-oi-Towners A party and w hat a party, the kind you read about but seldom see was given at F raternal Hall last Monday evening by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Heed of 1615 S. E. 49th avenue. The party was given in honor of Mrs. C lara G raham oj D etroit, M ichigan, sister of th e host; and Mrs. Alice Folw kes of Colum bus, Georgia, who is here visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W, Ingersoll, 3384 S. E. W oodward street, was attended by alm ost two hundred guests. F ratern al Hall was beautifully decorated for the occasion with flowers and party favors on every one of the score dr jrwrv tables. E ntertainm ent provided d iv e rs ion for th e guests wl en they w ere not tripping the light fan tastic to the hot tu n es-served up by the best little aggregation of m usicians ever assem bled for a party. R efreshm ents included everything from hors d ’ouvres and canapes to turkey, and iron» w ater to the lim it of your im agi nation in fancy drinks. Edw ard H arris, nationally know n com edian and vaudeville actor, was the m aster of cerem o nies for the occasion and was ably assisted by his wife, a for m er actress ip her own right, M adame Bressay H arris. Included in the list of e n tertain ers was Eugene “R ed” Moseley, who did a solo tap dance and then w ith Ruby Jones as a p a rtn e r gave an excellent jitte rb u g routine. Mary Steen rendered solos in her in i m itable style, all assisted by a five-piece orchestra th a t was really tops. The guest list is not available as we go to press, but we will publish the list in n ext w eek’s issue. Mr. Reed is G eneral M anager of the Club Acme at 1504 N.
