A man practicing drawing a pistol from a holster fi red a shot into a neighboring, occupied apartment on Thursday, July 25. A couple and their 4-year-old child were home at the time but no one was in- jured. The incident took place at 7:15 a.m. in the 700 block of Lockhaven Drive Northeast. The 22-year-old man, who fi red a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol, told police he thought the gun was loaded with “dummy” rounds when it discharged through a window of his apartment. From there, the bullet traveled through the outside wall of a neighboring apartment and entered the living room about seven feet above the fl oor. The bullet ricocheted along the apartment wall, but was not located by investigators.
