The suspect who entered the credit union is believed to be a female with a dark complexion, in her 20s to 30s with black hair. The suspect was wearing a pair of dark rimmed glasses, a black cap, a light colored jacket, zebra- striped leggings, gray socks, black shoes and a gray pair of gloves. She’s is believed to have fl ed the scene in a waiting newer model black or dark- colored Ford Fiesta. About 4:45 p.m., the sus- pect entered the credit union, located at 111 McNary Es- tates Drive North. Respond- ing offi cers learned the sus- pect approached a teller inside the credit union and demanded money. The sus- pect was given an undisclosed amount of cash and fl ed from the business in a vehicle that was being operated by an ac- complice to the robbery. Special Agents from the Salem offi ce of the Federal Bureau of Investigation also responded to the credit union to investigate the incident. Clean up at Civic Center March 18 The City of Keizer is looking for more than 100 volunteers to pitch in on a clean-up effort at Keizer Civ- ic Center Saturday, March 18. Volunteers are needed for trimming bushes and grasses, removing and potting shrubs for replanting, removing weeds, and dumping the col- lected trimmings and leaves into a drop box. Volunteers can show up the day of the clean- up without registering in ad- vance. Those interested in volun- teering should dress for the weather in long pants, sturdy shoes/boots, gloves, hats and coat. Restrooms will be avail- able onsite and light refresh- ments will be provided. They may develop and approve regional development plans; oversee the implementation of development grant pro- grams such as those funded by the US Economic De- velopment Administration; advocate for regional devel- opment priorities; and pro- vide formal, public forums for communicating regional concerns and priorities to state and federal agencies. The board meets once a year at the Council of Govern- ments building in downtown Salem. • The Festival Advisory Board serves as an advisory role to the City of Keizer by researching feasibility for developing venues for events and festivals, streamlining policies and ordinances for potential events, developing an all inclusive community calendar, and developing a marketing plan to enhance the use of Keizer area facili- ties for events, festivals, and conferences.
