HOWALD Of the Keizertimes The McNary High School girls varsity basketball team had ups and downs at the Nike Interstate Shootout over winter break, but the competition level was fi erce throughout. The Lady Celts won two games, over St. Mary’s Academy and Washington’s Skyview high schools, and lost two, to Oregon City and Jesuit high schools, two of the top-ranked teams in the OSAA 6A division. The McNary High School boys and girls varsity swimming teams started off the new year dousing the North Salem High School Vikings at the Kroc Center Tuesday, Jan. 5. The boys won their side of the meet 100-19 while the girls beat the Vikings 128-22. Celtics won all but one varsity race.
