Henry liutlolpli Myers was born at Bristol, Lincoln county, N^aine, Jan. 27th, l«S2t‘>, died at Slay ton, Ore., Mill. 30th, 1008, aged 82 years, 2 months, 3 days. The deceased was «»no of a family of nine children, consisting of f»>ur l»oys and live girls, all being dead except two married sisters, Mrs. E'.li/.iilmtli I Foasett ami Mrs. Laura J. McIntyre, who are living near Bristol, Me. ^ Leaving his family in tho East, the deceased left Maim for San Francisco, jS Cal , by way ol Cape Horn, about tho year 1850. After arriving there, ho ^ worked at his trade as' brick-mason, for a couple of years, then going to ^ Vanc»»uver Island, B. C., where he ^ worked in a logging camp a while, lie then came to Salem, Ore., in the year ^ 1803, where he formed a partnership ^ w ith \V. F. Boothby and Harry Staple- ton in a Sash and Door Factory, on > Front St., finally retiring, although working at his trade while a partner.
