2 THE CHEMAWA AMERICAN PIANO RECITAL. On Tuesday evening, March 22, the piano pupils of Miss Irene Campbell ap peared in a recital. The class was large and all degrees of proficiency was to have been expected, as some were be ginners while others had passed the "first steps" and were capable of "real" classics. As a class .the work of the pupils was certainly most creditable to Miss Campbell and her methods of in struction. Much praise is due to her for the splendid showing her pupils made on this occasion and she has reasons to feel proud of the results. Miss Faris assisted and added to the pleasure of the evening on this occasion by accept ing the role of vocalist. The pupils, too, are commended for their . perseverance and pains-taking practice previous to the iecital. Friday March 21, 1910, on the floor of the McMinnville College was played the last game of basketball for the sea son of 1910, Chemawa being the visiting team, the score being Chemawa 23, Mc Minnville 34- On the following dav, Saturday, Mar. 20, 1910, Chemawa at tended a meeting of representatives from the following college: McMinnville, Newberg, Dallas and Chemwawa. Mr. Fenton of Dallas opened the meeting and after the usual preliminaries new business was in order and Chemawa introduced the question' of costume for next year, which provides for covering the naked body from neck to ankle with the knee not unnessarily exposed. The measure was adopted, which we hope will be observed The trip to McMinville via Dallas was very pleasant. The country along the Dallas railroad being very, beautiful in a coat of green. And from Dallas to' Mc Minville was equally pleasant. Our impressions of McMinville were very good and hope we that we will meet McMinville again on the dia mond or the circled track.
