The hospital . girls are anxious to move into the now hospital. We are glad to have two new boys in our schoolroom this week. The harness-makers are working out side this week helping Mr. Bowen, The tiremen.are having an easy time firing since they got the new coal. Viola Ferris sang a song in her class room Tuesday. She has a good voice. We are having ?ome very cold morn ings of late, but very beautiful, bright days, Adella Payne and Ethel Logan went to town Sunday and had a very nice time, Audio Cameron joined the mandolin cluh; she is going to learn to play the violin, a ; ; , Annie Johnson, who was working in the dining hall, is now working in the laundry. Mary Campbell is working in the sew ing room and is getting to be quite a dressmaker, Sallie Boswell made gome delicious biscuits in the Domestic Science depart ment this week. The tailor boys have their basketball uniforms completed and are ready for their third victory. Laura Harnden made some very nice biscuits last week in the Domestic Sci ence department. I found on ray return to Chemawa that the school grounds had ohanged a g reat deal in three years, Matilda John made some fine Uncle Ned gingerbread, in the cooking class Tuesday morning, Mary Anna Lane makes the corridors of McBride Hall ring with music when she plays on her guitar of evenings, Oscar Case is working for Mr. Swartz. He says that he likes to work on the farm. Mr, Swarta sayg he is a good worker, The hospital girls are anxious to move into the new hospital so they can have their new uniform, suits made. The nurses' uniforms will be very pretty. A, B, and C companies are looking forward to a competition drill, There will be a trophy awarded the company that shows the greatest efficiency when on parade. George Baker went out hunting Sat urday afternoon and he shot a snipe one hundred yards away in the swamp. He gays he is going ;o shoot snipes every Saturdav afternoon after this, V The boys who do not belong to either of the two teams of the Y. . M..C. A. have organized a basketball team in which they think they can do better than the Y. M. C, A. teams have done, They will have a chance to show what they can do. They will play the second team and if they take fche scalps of the second team they will have the chance to take the scalps of the first team, If they win from the first, and second Y, M. C, A. teams let them talk. If they lose may they forever hold their peace
