Tulalip Notes.
Dr. Rnchanan Has Been Notified That
Plans Have Keen Com pleled
For Its Construction.
Before many moons have passed away

operations nil) have been begun at Tulalip,
Dr Burhanan, the superintendent in
charge of the sgency, reservation and
schools of the Tulalip agency, has been,
recently informed by the Commissioner of
Indian affairs that the architects have prac
tically completed the plans for the school
plant and that an official who is a practical
engineer has been detailed to Tulalip to
drw ub and plan a practical, modern and;
efficient water and sewerage system for th
school. Tulalip possesses excellent water
power which will more than, likely he UBed
ana source' of electric light and power for
the new school.
The Indian office has expresaad a high
degree of satisfaction with and confidence
in the methods and management of Dr,
Buchanan and agency and school affairs,
are in an excellent conditiop generally, i ,f.
Dr. Uharles F. Maxwell, of Louisville,
Kv,. has been appointed physician ro the;
Tulalip agency in place of Dr. W.J. Steph
enxon who was nroinoted to a higher posi

Mr. Herman Kollenbaum, formerly, of
the Slat-din Rock agency, N. D (the place
where Sitting Bull was killed), has effi-cred
an. exchange with Mr. A. B. Arnold. agen

now at Standing Llock and Mr, Kollen
