Bargaining Begins Our first bargaining session was January 12, where we presented our first series of proposals to the Homecare Commission to improve language on late paychecks, timely issuance of vouchers, allowing vouchers to be submitted by fax and streamlining the grievance procedure. Next bargaining dates are February 9, February 23, March 2, and March 23 in Salem. Members are always welcome to attend bargaining. Please call a member of the bargaining team or your organizer for more information. We have also scheduled lobby days in Salem on Thursday, February 1 st, Thursday, March 1 st and Thursday, March 29th. If you've never attended, you're missing out on a great experience. Fill out the Lobby Day Registration Form on Page 3 and come. Mileage over 20 miles round trip, meals, and lodging, if necessary, will be provided. Meet your Bargaining Team The real bargaining begins with the members and it is so important for our co-workers to support the bargaining team by turning out to lobby days in Salem to talk to legislators about the homecare program, attending regional meetings in your areas, perhaps being a phone tree captain and staying informed about the bargaining process. Joye Willman, Chair, Homecare Bargaining Team & As negotiations begin, we are looking at what our members have listed as their priorities and using those priorities to guide us. I'm honored to help lead a very talented bargaining team. We are going to pay close attention to the details that makes for a strong contract that values our work, qq Erin McIntosh, Co-Chair Chair:Joye Willman, Portland, 503-309-6605, Iocal99vp1 @msn.com Co-Chair: Erin McIntosh, Dallas, 503-510-8493 Erin_mcintosh@hotmail.com Alt.
