File fo r and win an election. A majority vote will decide if our union is recognized and empowered to negotiate a contract with the homecare commission. We needio reach out to eveiy caregiver in the state and ask for their support. Lobbl/ legislature fo r new funding. While we will negotiate with the homecare commission, it is the legislature that must allocate money to fund the homecare program. It is essential that politicians hear from our clients and us about the importance of taking care of the elderly and people with disabilities. jVepofWte a contract. We will elect fellow homecare workers to sit on our negotiating team. We will set the priorities for negotiations, and we will vote, to accept or reject our contract.
