Basic steward training covers the role, authority, and special status of stewards, orga nizing around grievances, under standing the contract, progressive discipline, just cause, grievance handling, and Weingarten rights. Locations and times for Basic Steward Training are: • Bend: Friday, March 4, 6-9 p.m., and Saturday, March 5,9 a.m. - 4 p.m., at the OPEU office. • Eugene/Springfield: Friday, March 4, 6-9 p.m., and Saturday, March 5, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., at 154 Straub on the University of Oregon campus. • Pendleton evening: Monday, March 14, Tuesday, March 15, and Wednesday, March 16, all at 6-9 p.m., at the Pendleton OPEU Office. • Pendleton morning: Tuesday, March 15, and Wednes day, March 16, both days at 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m., at the Pendleton OPEU office. ■ Pendleton afternoon: Tuesday, March 15, and Wednes day, March 16, both days at 1-5:30 p.m., in the Pendleton OPEU Office. • Medford: Friday, April 22, 6-9 p.m., and Saturday, April 23, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Medford Inn, 1015 S.
