It may be of interest to know that logging operations in the Walluski area necessitated the opening of the Walluski bridge, which is manually operated, an average of once daily. EIvin English, operator on Youngs Bay bridge, spent a few days in the Saint Mary’s hospital, with the flu. However, Elvin is back on the job again. Clarence Asher left on his 1947 va cation on May 29. Clarence headed for Spray, eastern Oregon, w h e r e his mother lives.
