30 when the. committee showed up with a group of entertainers of ability, and they have maintained thè S pace ever since, Just where they locate all this variety of good entertainment is, some thing of a mystery. At the last meet ing the entertainment was above av erage, which may have been because of the performance of one of our own members. There may be a better Swede Paul Revere than "Bud” Melin, but it is-extremely unlikely,’ And in addition, the committee came up with a modernized version of thè old fashioned basket sqcial, which re sulted in a very enjoyable time by all at the festive board. Our attendance this year has shown a steady increase over the usual "bak er’s dozen,” the last meeting having al most 60 present. A;s good attendance is very necessary if any organization is to*thrive, we think we may be par doned for, our opening remarks. B . Bill Franzwa’s name- was drawn out of the hat for the "kitty,” hu t he did not happen to. be present, and conse-: quently the money will go over until the next meeting. We don’t suppose Bill will miss another meeting this year, as his - portion would have meant least four or five good golf balls. ' Cy Suing, of „the accounting depart ment, returned from a two-day trip with his: right hand bandaged. Upon questioning, it was learned he had hit à dog, and Mr. Suing, not being thè hit and run type of driver, stopped to give first aid. The dog bit him. Cy re ports the dog uninjured (unless it had com plications^ a result of the b ite). Mr. and Mrs. Bill Geibel are being For Quality Foods felicitated upon the arrival of their daughter, Susan Kay, who was bom on January 18. Bill is bearing up well. Incidentally, the Geibels are looking for a , two or three bedroom house for rent, and in the event that any of you have a lead, please contact Bill in the firm department. The many friends o f Gladys Jones will be pleased to hear that she has recovered from a recent operation and is back at work.
