The minutes of the last Board of Directors meeting were adopted as pub lished in the last issue of The Oregon State Employee. The purpose of this meeting, as ou t lined by President Floyd Query, was to express their thoughts and discuss ways and means of facilitating a pro gressive wage program. Each board member and visitor was called upon to state his views toward this policy. Stanley Morris Wage problem is the foremost con cern. Harry Broadwell Employees feel need of more money. Erwin Clark Action should be immediate on wage problem. Forrest Cooper Growing discontent among state employees. Felt that if our group could get proper recognition we could go a long way toward solving our problems. Employees w ant action on wages. Em ployees should be more fully informed on association activities. E. F. Chidsey Discussed 1 0 % increase that was asked for at the last General Council meeting. Felt that a greater increase should be made following adoption of the Civil Service. Stated that estab lishment of the Retirement A ct relin quished about 7% of their pay and further increase desired to offset this deduction. Felt that $10.00 raise was inadequate.
