The minutes of the last Board of
Directors meeting were adopted as pub
lished in the last issue of The Oregon
State Employee.
The purpose of this meeting, as ou t
lined by President Floyd Query, was
to express their thoughts and discuss
ways and means of facilitating a pro
gressive wage program. Each board
member and visitor was called upon to
state his views toward this policy.
Stanley Morris
Wage problem is the foremost con
cern.
Harry Broadwell
Employees feel need of more money.
Erwin Clark
Action should be immediate on wage
problem.
Forrest Cooper
Growing discontent among state
employees. Felt that if our group could
get proper recognition we could go a
long way toward solving our problems.
Employees w ant action on wages. Em
ployees should be more fully informed
on association activities.
E. F. Chidsey
Discussed 1 0 % increase that was
asked for at the last General Council
meeting. Felt that a greater increase
should be made following adoption of
the Civil Service. Stated that estab
lishment of the Retirement A ct relin
quished about 7% of their pay and
further increase desired to offset this
deduction. Felt that $10.00 raise was
inadequate.
