Although Rod took a First and Third Place in men’s bucking contests even his help couldn’t save the day for Lynn. Rita Schultz of Clatskanie took First Place in this event. BELOW— Pole Walk and Snip contestants often spent more time falling off the poles than they did on them. Logger on right pole is just seconds from toppling off. Telephone Payment Agency Closes Effective July 31, the U.S. National Bank in Vernonia no longer will accept telephone statement payments for General Telephone Co. of the Northwest. After that date, General Telephone's customers in Vernonia are advised to mail their payments in the company-provided envelopes until another payment agency is secured. When a new agency is established, customers will be notified through a LOGGING SHOW EDITOR'S NOTE: Due to a mix up in scheduling we are unable to provide a complete list of Logging Show winners.
