PCC WINTER TERM REGISTRATION STARTS I’VE BEEN THERE by Wally Noakes You asked me if I’ve been there, I don’t know where you mean. But if it’s a bit of heaven or hell, then I have made the scene. The brothers and sisters around you, that cheer you when you get blue. You say maybe I’ve been lucky, but what does a man call luck? To have some one that cares enough, to keep him out of the muck? To feel the pangs of hunger, with your gut knotted up inside. And wonder why you were ever bom, and some times wish you could die. To lose a dear companion \ who had been staunch through the years. Open registration for new and returning students at Portland Community College begins Friday, January 2 and continues Monday, January 5 through Friday, January 9. Evening registration hours for returning students with appointments will be Tuesday December 30 from 6-8 pm. For new students an evening registration will be held Monday January 5 from 6-8 pm. Registration for returning students with appointments began December 15. Tuition for PCC classes remains $16 per credit hour for residents of the five county PCC education district. Class schedules listing hundreds of credit and non-credit courses in locations throughout the metropolitan area are available at all PCC centers and at public libraries.
