Planning Advisory Committee has fixed
the 15th day of January, 1981, at 7:30 pm
at the Mist school gymnasium as the time
and place for the election of three
committee members whose terms of office
expire January 1, 1981. Any resident or

within

CPAC
boundary is qualified to serve as a
member, or as an elector. An elector
present at the meeting may be nominated
by himself or by any other elector present
but must be a resident or property owner
of the area he is to represent. Also, any

You asked me if I’ve been there,
I don’t know where you mean.

then I have made the scene.
Have I climbed the highest mountain?
Or fell to the depths below?
Or walked the pathway in between,
Is that what you want to know?
To have the dear love of a woman,
to hold her child in your hand.
And know he’s blood of your blood,
most precious thing in the land.
Or the true love of Mother and Father,
who would sacrifice all for you.
The brothers and sisters around you,
that cheer you when you get blue.
You say maybe I’ve been lucky,
but what does a man call luck?
To have some one that cares enough,
to keep him out of the muck?
To feel the pangs of hunger,
with your gut knotted up inside.
And wonder why you were ever bom,
and some times wish you could die.
To lose a dear companion \
who had been staunch through the years.

students at Portland Community College
begins Friday, January 2 and continues
Monday, January 5 through Friday,
January 9.

registration

will be Tuesday December 30 from 6-8
pm. For new students an evening
registration will be held Monday January
5 from 6-8 pm.
Registration for returning students
with appointments began December 15.
Tuition for PCC classes remains $16 per
credit hour for residents of the five county
PCC education district.
Class schedules listing hundreds of
credit and non-credit courses in locations
throughout the metropolitan area are
available at all PCC centers and at public
libraries.
