GILBERT CREEK Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ray of Valle} Junction will celebrate their fifty- f 'f h wedding anniversary on Thanks- piv'ng day with a family reunion at the Buell Grange hall, with a pot luck dinner at noon. Any friends of the family who care to join them there are invited. Open house wil' be held all day that friends may drop in and see Mr. and Mrs. Ray Elmer Leith has enlisted in th< United States navy and has gone tc San Diego. Calif., for training. Mrs. E. G. Hilliard and two chil dren have returned from Olympia Wash., where they spent severa’ weeks with her mother. Mrs. Hilliard is much improved in health. Retha Blanchard spent Tuesda} night with F’orenee Blanchard. Mrs. John Gortmaker of Gran«’ Ronde and Mrs. George Reiser of Sheridan and Mrs. Chas. Ray were in McMinnville on business las' Thursday. Hugh Stuart brought several of the Hubbard football players ovet to Willamina for the game last Fri- dav. Mr. and Chas. Ray sDe-t ^»t urday evening with Mr. and Mrs Paul Blanchard. Don Mosser, recently moved from here to Medford, was back over the week end on business. He says that after getting used to the southern country he might like it as well as this Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Robins and family, Mrs. Ed Robins and Delvin Hoffman were in Sheridan on bus iness Saturday night. Two young stray horses spent the last week or so around the home of Jesse Gearhart. Last Friday one had the misfortune of falling into a creek and sustaining injuries that neces sitated the city marshal being calle«’ to give "powder and lead anesthetic.** RONDE Mr. and Mrs. Adam MacPhe-son Ipst their home bv fire last Thurs day afternoon.
