George S utton, present county assessor, won the ele tion A re-count, called for by the M.ncer f it Asses or com m it tee, was held Thursday, and hanged the final tally by only one. vote. Mincer finished only four votes liehind Sutton in the final re-count figures. Sutton, who has been the coun ty assessor for 24 yeats, lost one vote on the recount, and Mincer added one to hi- total. The first ballot figutes showed a difference of six votes between the men. Balloting in the entire county was j fa r over the 4iXMl figure. For th e tim e being the Phillips plan on operating the S hehan establishm ent in its present loca tion, w ith Ron Shehan, b rother of form er ow ner Bob Shehan, in charge. T he Phillips plan to oper ate the store until afte r th e holi day season, in order to give the people of the area a b e tte r selec tion. Bob S hehan reports that he had deeded ecll the business be cause of other interests. He plans on staying in th area, and is now w orking for L eonard Real Estate as a salesm an.
