A dozen teaching nuns from the Medford Parochial schools, had a Sneak Day, and hit out for Harris Beach State Park, There was another car load of four who got lost, some where on the way. It being a church holiday (Ascension) the nuns took a bit of a vacation, bringing their snacks along with them which they enjoyed at the parish house. Father Kies was- not here to greet them, much to his sorrow, as one of them was a former teacher of his. Bcb Williams who, with George Shirey, figured on tak ing off for Texrs. last w^ek, de toured to the Gold Beach hos pital where he had to wait until some pneumon^ bugs got through with him.
