NUNS SNEAKDAY
col
THE PILOT SAID:
Father Kies had a flock of
tisitors last Thursday afternoon,
whom his Mama had to enter
tain. A dozen teaching nuns
from the Medford Parochial
schools, had a Sneak Day, and
hit out for Harris Beach State
Park, There was another car
load of four who got lost, some
where on the way. It being a
church holiday (Ascension) the
nuns took a bit of a vacation,
bringing their snacks along with
them which they enjoyed at the
parish house. Father Kies was-
not here to greet them, much
to his sorrow, as one of them
was a former teacher of his.
Bcb Williams who, with
George Shirey, figured on tak
ing off for Texrs. last w^ek, de
toured to the Gold Beach hos
pital where he had to wait until
some pneumon^ bugs
got
through with him. They released
their grip and Bob and George
took off, Saturday.
McCULLOCHS LEAVE
Mr. and Mrs. C. P. McCulloch
left. Monday, for points south
and o n ,in to Texas. They; sold
out all their holdings here but
many look for them back.
