The Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs in issuing the reminder, said the veteran must have been an Oregon resident for one year prior to applying for the license. His disability must be current, and it must be certified by the Veterans Ad ministration. Application is made to the State Game Commission, 1634, S.W. Alder, Portland. Veterans of the Spanish Amer ican War, the Phillipine insur rection and the Boxer Rebellion do not have to prove disability. County veterans’ service offic ers and the state veterans’ de partment can assist disabled ex- servicemen in filing for the ben efit. The veterans’ department also reminded men on active duty with the armed forces in Oregon that they are entitled to fishing licenses in this state at the same price as residents.
