Gauntlett said that rumor had reached him regarding writing in his name for assessor, but he was emphatic in denying that he was seeking *he po«t. Sutton did not file. However, Gauntlett said that he is support ing Sutton ‘‘since iw* is the one man with the necessary exper ience to carry on the work of the assessor's office during the per iod of property « ‘-appraisal.
