A sixteen y e a r old boy w as be­
ing held in th e Coquille jail th is
week on a ch arg e of being a d e­
linquent juvenile by reason of a t ­
tem pted rape.
The boy w as a rre ste d by Depu*
ty S h eriff W es S m ith and B rook­
ings Police C hief Bud Cross, on
a com plaint by th e m o th er of an
11 y e a r old girl. A h ea rin g will
be held in Ju v en ile C o u rt a t Gold
B each Tuesday.

she b roke aw ay an d scream ed,
and th e boy ran. C hief Cross
