9 HARBOR NEWS Am ong the fishing sto ries being told now is th a t one told by Dunn M cA dam s w hile fishing in the W inchuck last w eek, fie and a com panion in th e boat each got a salm on on th e ir hooks at th e sam e tim e, and landed both of them . One w eighed nearly 30 pounds and th e o th e r w as a little sm aller. He said th at th ere w as som e e x c ite m ent going on until they w ere both landed, and one can really believe it. Mr. and Mrs. R ay S tru e b in g are enjoying a few w eeks visit from th e ir uncle. Bob E v an s oT Los Angeles, who is here enjoying the fishing. It tak es R ay to catch the fish though, his uncle and a group had been out all m orning last S a t u rd ay w ith o u t any luck, and then R ay w ent out w ith them for in hour and caught tw o nice ones in th a t time. T he friends and neighbors of Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Moffitt s u r prised them at th e ir hom e up the C hetco on O ctober 24, the occa sion being th e ir tw en ty -first w ed ding an n iv ersary . The p a rty w as p lanned by th e ir d au g h ters, L aura an d Peggy, and a pleasant evening w as spent by the group. Mrs. H a ttie M ackey, who had one of h er toes a m p u ta te d at th e C u rry G eneral H ospital in Gold Beach a few w eeks ago, has been m oved to the W edderburn Rest Home, and would enjoy visits from an y of h er friends. It is hoped th at she can be brought hom e in th e n ea r fu tu re as she w ould r a th e r be hom e w here she can have m ore com panionship. Mr and Mrs. Alvin WoodrifT and two children re tu rn e d from a tr ip of sev eral w eeks w hich took th em to C anon C ity, C olorado to visit at the hom e of Mr. and Mrs. R obert Lively, and w ith o th er re la tiv e s and friend^ as Colorado is th eir fo rm er hom e sta te .
