Brookings' Beavers drew a •‘bye” in Southw estern Oregon league play the past week-end but won two exhibition g a m e s , trouncing the Crescent City M er chants 19 to 3 on S aturday and then dum ping the Glendale Log gers 8 to 2 on Sunday. Bob Selsor, new Beaver shortstop, and Boyd W es t e r n each w ith 3 hits, and Jack Selby, Jay Dean and Ron Monello with 2 blows apiece, led the Brookings hitting attack. Corky Coleman gave the Glen dale Loggers only 4 scattered hits in the Sunday game and de served a shutout. The Loggers managed their two runs in the top of the 9th without the aid of a hit, four Beaver miscues in that frame doing all the damage. Ken Kimura and Ron Monello hit home runs for Brookings.
