P*rc Fnrn ( BROOK1NGS-HARBOR PILOT, BROOKINGS. OREGON Hurst-Smith Elsie May Haug, daughter of W. and Mrs. Ole Haug of Silver- ton, Ore., and Daniel Richard Kirkpatrick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orlo A. Kirkpatrick of Fort Kragg, Calif., were married at a quite home wedding Sunday. June 22 at 2 p.m. in the home of her brother-in-law and sister. Mr. and Mrs. William J. Wiest in Portland. The br*de wore a gown of sheer white topped with a lace yoke. Her ensemble included a lace cap and veil and a corsage of red rosebuds and a string of pearls, a gift from the groom. Rev. Langbrough, a Lutheran minister of Portland, read the wedding vows. The| bride was given away by her father and the couple’s attendants were Mr. and Mrs. West. After a week’s sta£ in Portland the couple returned to Brookings where they will make their home. Haug-Daniels Mrs. Gerald Joseph Smith, for merly Glenna Jeanne Hurst, was a bride of August 4 at St. Rose Catholic church. Rev. Albert J. Carmody officiated. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen F. Hurst of Brookings. Mr. Smith is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Smith. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a chantilly lace dress with finger tip veil of French illusion falling from a cape of lace and seed pearls and carried a white prayer book with spray cf white orchids, Miss Donna Mary Brennan was maid of honor and brides maids were Misses Sally Terril. Barbara Ness and Nancy Mc- Grew. Little Pat ice Brown was flower girl. Edward A. Smith was best man and ushers were Thomas L. Shaw. Oliver Norville, Don ald H. Smith. Patrick Carr and Phillip Ernstrom. After a reception the newly weds left for the east coast and will be at home after September 20 in New York City.—The Ore gonian. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Ostenberg took a group of juniors to Camp Milo, out of Canyonville, Ore., on Sunday. Going to the Adven tist summer camp for young folk were Gary Fitzhugh, Kim Wallen, Bonnie Stafford and David Os tenberg.
