The May Day tea given by the Harbor Community club to raise funds for the community library was attneded by a largeg rowd, which enjoyed the afternoon. The World’s Best Clitnate If anyone wants to know how it feels to tangle with a Grey hound bus, just ask Lyle Dill, as he tried it Sunday, and came off second best. The Greyhound was “oing north on the Chetco river bridge, when Mr. Dill had to put on his brakes to keep from running into the back of the car ahead of him, which had slowed down when it saw the Greyhound PAGE FIVft coming toward it on u.c bridge. The Dill car skidded out of con trol and the wet pavement, and ran into the bus. Mr. Dill suffer ed many cuts on his face and bruises all over his body, but is able to be out. Bis car was a total wreck. If both vehicles had not been going at a moderate speed, the results could have been much worse.
