,pSPAY, MARCH 28. 1946 cal Chamber Of mmerce Works i Development Chamber Only Civic Body Working For Area Development BKOOKINGS-H ARDOR PILOT, BROOKINGS, OREGON In this area, 100 members, or more,-are necessary to get a com plete cross-section of the com munity. Under the $l-per-month membership dues plan, this en ables the organization to have a little money to carry on some of its many functions. Membership in the organiza tion entitles the holder to these privileges: 1. To take an active part in the shaping of the future of the area; 2. An opportunity for the in dividual to aid the community development by injection of his personal work and ideas; I 3. The opportunity to mold, at the very beginning, the pol icies which will go far toward an area of 10,000 or more popu lation; 4. An opportunity to leave a heritage for the families which will move to the area to make their homes. Someone has said: “One never gets more out of anything than he is willing to put in.” One can never, by the same token, ex pect any more from a chamber of commerce than he is person ally willing to devote to the or ganization. Your membership is needed—now!
