Ghost Tour features several familiar faces for Eugene music fans, such as Olive DelSol (Bohemian Dub Orchestra) on keyboards and vocals, and Michael Steinkirchner (Caitlin Jemma & The Goodness) on lead guitar. The band’s sound primarily revolves around guitar, vocalist and EW contributor Andy Valentine’s gentle tenor and sweetly melancholy, lyrical songwriting. He sounds a bit like Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard delivering charmingly sad-boy 28 June 30, 2016 • eugeneweekly.com REALITY KITCHEN Acoustic Reality—5pm; Open mic, n/c RESTOBAR Steven McVay—5pm TERRITORIAL VINEYARDS Llorona—7pm; n/c WANDERING GOAT King Columbia, Corwin Bolt, Harmonia Mundi—8pm; Folk, $5 WAYWARD LAMB Black Rainbow—9pm; n/c WOW HALL Leo “Bud” Welch— 8pm; $20-$25 FRIDAY 7/1 5TH ST. DelSol says she was the last to join the band and looks forward to contributing more songs, such as “Easy,” a bluesy neo-soul ballad in which DelSol sibilantly seduces like Amy Winehouse, adding extra syllables to words like “party.” At best, the soul and indie sides of Ghost Tour come together for an almost West African rock ‘n’ JERSEY’S Karaoke Contest— 9pm; n/c THE KEG Karaoke w/Cammi— 9pm; n/c LEVEL UP DJ food stamp—9pm; Rap, breaks, soul, n/c MOHAWK MissChievious—9pm; Rock, n/c O BAR Karaoke w/Jared—9pm; n/c O’DONNELL’S Karaoke—9pm PORKY’S PALACE Karaoke— 8pm SAGINAW VINEYARD Heavy Chevy—6pm; n/c SAM BOND’S BREWING Fiddlin‘ Big Sue Band—7pm; n/c SAM BOND’S GARAGE Palmer Squares, ThatKidCry—9:30pm; Hip hop, $8 SARVER WINERY Peter Giri & Lloyd Tolbert—6pm; n/c SILVAN RIDGE Mike Brewer & The Brewketts—6pm; n/c TAYLOR’S DJ Victor—10pm; Hip hop, dance, n/c TERRITORIAL VINEYARDS The Miller Brothers—7pm; n/c TRACKSTIRS Karaoke w/ James—9pm; n/c WANDERING GOAT The Gibbs, Coyote, Saffron—8pm; Punk, stoner, grunge, $5 WHITE HORSE SALOON Karaoke w/Ted—9pm; n/c SATURDAY 7/2 5TH ST. Steinkirchner says that eventually Ghost Tour will perform with a horn section, and perhaps this will mediate the conversation between Valentine and DelSol’s songwriting voices. For now, with strong lyrics, tasteful vocal harmonies and inventive use of dynamics and tempo, Ghost Tour is a strong addition to Eugene’s music scene. Ghost Tour debuts with Portland’s Zygotes of the Forlorn West 10 pm Saturday, July 2, at the Hi-Fi Music Hall Lounge; $3-$5 dollars suggested donation, 21-plus. — William Kennedy
