L O W 3 8 GATHERINGS Hearing Voices & Extreem States Support Group, 6pm, First United Methodist Once a month, Cozmic transforms into a tropical isle, but this time, Aloha Friday is kicking it up a notch. It will include all the usual components, like excellent ukelele and guitar music from guest musicians Herb Ohta Jr., Chino Montero and Keoki Kahumoku, as well as hula dancing from Christina Wong. This time, audience members get the chance to play with the guest artists in a special open mic performance. Just make sure to bring along a few copies of the chord chart and prepare to jam. The Hawaii-themed evening continues with a presentation on sustainable farming practices by Ka- humoku, who raises pigs on the Big Island. Hawaii is more than 2,000 miles away from Eugene, but Aloha Friday makes it seem much closer.
