The commish says he is actually second to last in gross favorability and the middle of the pack in net favorability. NOW IN OPEN NIGHTS PROGRESS 505 South A Street :WYPUNÄLSK6YLNVU The Hayward Historic District is a new nonprofit business association involving owners of Eugene City Bakery, Prince Puckler’s, Studio One Café, Tom’s Market, Beppe and Gianni’s, Ume Grill, Bare Body Waxing and Sun Automotive. The mission is to promote the area’s dining and business services as the neighborhood near campus gears up for the 2012 Olympic Track and Field Trials. “Many of us felt overlooked at the 2008 Olympic Trials,” says Chris Hogle of Studio One. “This time we hope to work closely with the university to affirm our presence during this year’s upcoming track and field event.” Hogle can be reached at 914-5207. The GreenLane Sustainable Business Network is planning its quarterly “People, Planet, Profit & Pints” event from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, April 19, at the Ninkasi Brewery tasting room and patio at 272 Van Buren. We hear Jimmy Johns, a gourmet sandwich shop franchise, is opening a Eugene store this week at 495 W. 7th Ave., #300, at the corner of 7th and Washington. Owner is Pete McGarty, who also owns the Gateway store.
