CLARIFICATIONS/CORRECTIONS
In last week’s News Briefs we said West Lane
Commissioner Jay Bozievich “trailed the pack” both in
name recognition, 45 percent, and in approval ratings, with
a 16 percent favorable rating and 12 percent unfavorable. The
commish says he is actually second to last in gross
favorability and the middle of the pack in net favorability.

The Hayward Historic District is a new nonprofit
business association involving owners of Eugene City
Bakery, Prince Puckler’s, Studio One Café, Tom’s Market,
Beppe and Gianni’s, Ume Grill, Bare Body Waxing and Sun
Automotive. The mission is to promote the area’s dining and
business services as the neighborhood near campus gears
up for the 2012 Olympic Track and Field Trials. “Many of us
felt overlooked at the 2008 Olympic Trials,” says Chris
Hogle of Studio One. “This time we hope to work closely
with the university to affirm our presence during this year’s
upcoming track and field event.” Hogle can be reached at

The GreenLane Sustainable Business Network is
planning its quarterly “People, Planet, Profit & Pints” event
from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, April 19, at the Ninkasi Brewery
tasting room and patio at 272 Van Buren. The gathering is
an opportunity for members and those interested in
membership to mingle. Guitarist Paul Prince will play. Find

Out On A Limb Gallery at 191 E. Broadway has
announced the addition of Betsy Wolfston’s “House
Blessings” to the gallery. Hours are 11 am to 5 pm Thursday
through Sunday.
We hear Jimmy Johns, a gourmet sandwich shop
franchise, is opening a Eugene store this week at 495 W. 7th
Ave., #300, at the corner of 7th and Washington. Owner is
Pete McGarty, who also owns the Gateway store.

on the Eugene Toxics Right-to-Know Program’s website at
http://wkly.ws/194 and in printed form at the Eugene Public
Library as required by the City Charter. Materials Balance
