Two Sandy Union High School students did “ very w ell" in their first year of the Mock T rial Competition in Portland, according to Len Eaton, business and street law instructor Seniors Alex Brewster and M argaret Blackburn won two rounds before los ing by four points, out of a possible 150, to Jesuit, the eventual champion K e llie G arlo ck, Chris Norton and Peggy Gillies also served as attorneys when other conflicts didn't keep them fro m p a r ticipating It was Blackburn and Brewster, however, who were prim arily responsible for the success of the Sandy team.
