He was 84 Born Feb. 15, 1898 in Brunot, Mo., he moved to Nebraska when he was in his late teens to begin work as a farm er. In 1924 he returned to Missouri where he m arried Stella Reed M r Chilton continued farm ing and also fished comm ercially on the Mississippi River to help pay his farm help The fa m ily moved to Oregon in 1936 and M r. Chilton raised berries in the Sandy area. During World W ar II, he worked in the Portland shipyards He m a rrie d G retchen Cox on April 10, 1956 in Gresham They remained in the Sandy area where Guy retired in 1958. He was a member of the Sandy Senior Citizens and Golden Age Club. He is survived by his wife, Gretchen; children, Wynferd Chilton of Trout- date, James Chilton of S ea tle, W ash., JoAnne R o h w e d e r of S a n d y , L en o ra S h a ffe r of Portland, Edwin Cox of C alifo rn ia, and B everly B u sw ell of B o rin g ; a brother, Wynford Chilton of N e b r a s k a ; 25 g r a n d children, and six great grandchildren.
