Registration will be held the next two Tuesdays, Oct. 5 and 12, at 7 p.m For more information, call 668 8444 or 658 4822 Missionary to address Zaire goals David Salseth will return “home" when he and his wife, Carolyn, arrive in Zaire as church planting missionaries with the Con servative Baptist Foregin Mission Society of Wheaton, III. Salseth grew up in Zaire where his parents, Harold and Joan Salseth, have served with CBFMS since 1949 Appointed to mis sionary service in June 1978. Salseth will speak about his goals at Pleasant Home Baptist Church, 32120 Dodge Park Blvd , this Sunday morning, Oct. 3. at the 11 a m service. Salseth attended Judson Baptist College in Portland for two years before receiv ing his bachelor’s degree in history from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, Calif , in 1971 That year he also served as a short-term worker in Zaire with CBFMS' Missonary Assistants Corps During Salseth's training at Western Conservative Baptist Seminary in Portland, where he earned a divinity degree in mis sions. he and his wife serv ed as CBFMS short-term workers in Kenya in 1975 Church plans guest, songs this Sunday Sandy Church of the Nazarene will welcome Brigadier Sexton Johanson of the Salvation Army and special singing this Sun day. He was born Oct 19. 1905 in south Dakota In the ear ly 1940s he moved to Oregon to work for the Forest Service. He i was employed as a pilot : and equipment operator After his marriage to Mikie Ann Jones in Washington on July 12, 1971, they lived on the coast where Mr Hanks owned a realty office in Yachats They moved to Sandy in 1976 where he worked part- time doing tractor and backhoe work tie is survived by his wife, Mikie; two children.
