Thu" Fun with Music group raises by GWEN BOGH Boat Correspondent The Fun w ith Music group of Boring recently met for its annual donation night This year 5400 was raised for the Oral Hull Foundation for the Blind, which is double what the group gave last year. The floats always carry live bands “ We’ve never in the club s history danced to canned music. I t ’s always been live.” said Wight. Floyd Welliver, c h a ir man of the club, said they have become so popular that bands ask to play for them at parades About the appeal of Fun with Music, Wight said, “ I think i t ’s because we’re close together.” The group’s motto: "A club formed with the idea of getting together to enjoy each o th e r’s com pany w ith o u t m a lic e —w here each member has a voice and is an asset in the club ” To join the club one must be at least 12 years of age.
