The scene will change to the < ommunitv Theater for the actual production. •’ Merit scholars announced by SUHS principal INVENTORY REDUCTION Sandy High School Prin o p a l John McMahan this week announced the names of three seniors who are be ing commended in the 27th an n u al N a 11 o n a I M erit Scholarship Program Letters of Commendation will be presented to Teresa Kollerman, Amy Craig and Nancy McCoy, who placed among the top 51.000 par ticipants m the current com petition Of som e 1 2 m illio n students who entered the 1082 Merit Scholarship com petition by taking a qualify ing test m 1980, about 3 6 .0 0 0 are being commended this month, as the begin their final year of high school The Sandy participants scored high, but slightly below other Oregon students who qualified as Merit Pro gram semifinalists Only th e 15,000 semifinalists, who were an nounced Sept ,6, will receive further considera tion for Merit Scholarships In the spring of 1982 , 5,000 Merit Scholarship winners will be announced They will receive awards worth $15 m illio n for co lle g e undergraduate study /v .
