Black and white prints w ill be classified by several topics including landscapes; seascapes; b u ild in g s , animals, birds, insects and fish, flowers, trees and plant life, still life, patterns and te x tu r e s ; and miscellaneous Color print topics are land scapes, seascapes, animals, b ird s, insects and fish ; flowers, trees and plant life; p o rtra its of people; and fo rm e r Oral Hull Park caretaker« Joe and Marie Webb stand before the new picnic facility that will be dedicated at the foundation's Fun Day this Sunday. Law appointed new ESD head M arvin Law was named chairman of the board of the Clackamas County Educa tion Service D istrict (ESD) last week Law replaces Keith L in dahl, who served as chair man during the 1980 81 fiscal year The ESD fiscal year began July 1 Clayton Wills of Redland was named vice-chairman, a position served by Law last year Wills is the ESD board member for Zone V, which includes Sandy, B oring, R e d la n d , E s ta c a d a . Damascus and Gladstone The meeting was also the first for new board members John Howell of Sandy and Charles Lucht of Molalla. FSD superintendent Bob B urns was re a p p o in te d budget officer and election officer by the board The ESD also voted to ex tend its lease on »Marian Hall on the M arylhurst campus an additional five years The present lease expires in 1984 The terms of the lease are such that M arylhurst w ill in crease the ESD’s existing warehouse space to 3,000 square feet w ith loading docks and some office space The enlarged warehouse w ill be distribution center for the ESD's cooperative purchas ing program The board also accepted a $21,000 grant for the upcom ing school year from the Northwest Area Foundation to hire a talented and gifted c o n s u lta n t to se rv e Clackamas County schools The consultant. Marilyn Hess of Portland, w ill work with any of the 28 school districts in Clackamas Coun ty She w ill help schools design talented and gifted programs, w rite curriculum , find resources and act as laison with other talented and gifted programs This w ill be the third year the ESD has received grants from the Foundation for Talented and Gifted Pro rams In the past, moncy-has helped to develop talented and gifted identification pro gram s and to fund the Clackamas County Cultural Studies Program. This w ill be Hess’ second year working with talented and gifted prorams through the ESSI) Last year she did sim ila r work for the ESD. also funded in part by the foundation The ESD board gave a special award and certifica tion of appreciation to Safety Bug Harriet Harries at its July meeting miscellaneous Prizes w ill be 15 for first. $3 for second and 12 for third Several awards are also being offered, including $25 and $15 g ift certificates.
