Porcelain was first made in its prim itive form in China during the Tang dynasty from 618 to 907 A I) The a r, of p a in tin g porcelain was popularized in the 1800s and moved to the United States from Europe During World War I the art dipped in jxipularity But now, 60 years later, it is making a comeback and Sandy area residents have the opportunity to study the work of area painters at the Sandy Public Library Honoring the art.
