Thirty seven people died in Oregon traffics during May. a drop of nearly 35 per cent from May last year when 57 people were killed in traffic. The May toll brought the five-month count to 21H, nearly 15 percent below the 240 fa ta litie s recorded through May 1980. and the lowest five month toll in at least the last six years Six pedestrians were among the 37 May victims Six motorcyclists, two of whom were known to be wearing helmets, also died in May. The remaining vic tim s w ere d riv e rs or passengers in m o to r vehicles. The improved highway safety picture may be due in part to the downturn in the economy, gas prices and lower travel rather than bet ter driving, according to Motor Vehicles Division of ficials Thur» Wednesday »»pm Praut Me» ircuum N ir bible ICHURCH We emphasize Biblical teaching supportive fellowship, children s learning center & regular home meetings FASTOWS; Dr John Moore (695 2924) WELTING AT: Sandy High School (Blull Road) Dr Al Baylis (658 4728) Sunday mornings (9 30 11 30) Living Way Fellowship Four Square I Disc Ore ry Worship service Wed eee. service First Church of Christ, Scientist 9 am 10 i.m. 7:15 p.m Pastor Ken Wold 17275 Strauss 668 4949 (Formerly St Mtcheei's Hell) 1525 West Powell Boulevard Gresham.
