On F rid a y. police Garrett I^ing reported to police that someone had taken a se, of speaker* from his vehicle sometime between midnight and 10 a m on Saturday The speakers were valued at $150 Police responded to Toni's East when it was reported that a fight was brewing Sunday afternoon No fight occurred Police assisted a Bluff Uoad resident who reported that dogs were chewing up a one week old fawn, Sunday That same morning, police responded to a call from Janz Berry land who reported that s e v e ra l in t o x ic a t e d individuals were loitering on the premises They dispersed w hen police arrived Rudy Munoz Hernandez, a California resident, was cited for m aking an improper left turn as the result of a traffic accident Monday morning No one was injured Juveniles were reported knocking down newly installed traffic signs along North Bluff Road Monday evening Police responded and assisted in replanting the signs The signs call fo r" No Parking D uring School Hours,” replacing the No Parking At Any Tim e" signs along some parts of Bluff Road near Sandy High School Library adds book on ‘the lost city’ Did the legendary lost continent Atlantis exist? Koznek. D u . and Robert I’ la-e, l i t * , plan to open a family practice medical clinic in the new Homestead Building, located a, the intersection of P roctor Boulevard and Strauss Avenue in downtown Sandy in July The building was remodeled extensively to accommodate two physicians Thr* two men are 1976 graduates o( the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine Dr Koznek completed his medical internship at Lakeside H ospital, Kansas City, M issouri, and Dr Lee completed his at Doctor s Hospital. Columbus, Ohio, both in 1977 Both Dr Lee and Dr Koznek entered the National Health Service Corps in July, 1977 Within H m * span oí eight months, they established family practice centers at Winchester and Oskaloosa, Kansas, in an area where there was a shortage of physicians They also helped recruit two new physicians for a neighboring community and assisted in the development oí their new practice They served on the medical staffs of Jefferson County Memorial Hospital and Lawrence Memorial Hospital and attended two nursing homes to provide physician services Both were active in public education programs, giving lectures at local school* and fo r local service organizations as well as regional heulth system agencies (USAs) To help ensure the continuity of the area wide practice they initiated. Doctors Koznek and I.ce helped to recruit the physicians who are scheduled to replace them in the National Health Services Corps program in Kansas The two physicians ttolh have an interest in living in or near Sandy Both have applied for privileges on the medical staff of Portland Adventist Medical Center and Gresham M em orial Hospital Dr Koznek is returning to his home state He grew up in a rural area near The Dalles and received a bachelor arts degree in biology at Portland Slate University in 1971 Hobbies and interests include sa iling , hiking, photography, and farming, and he is looking for u small farm near Sandy Dr I<ee grew up in Sioux Kails, South Dakota, and Topeka.
