A road rally starting at Parkrose Church at 6:30 p.m. is the first event. Each car will f o l l o w d i f f e r e n t c lu e s throughout the city until they come to the final home for refreshments and talk. Tuesday, Aug. 12 continues th e week with a game o f garden golf and a “wiggle party”. Meeting time is 6:30 p.m. at Parkrose Church. W ed n esd ay a Civil war movie entitled “Red Runs the River” will be shown. The story is about a Confederate Colonel and his fight with God. An offering will be taken to cover the cost of the film. The entire church is invited. The film will start at 6:30 p.m. at Corbett Church. Thursday is the “Yummy” P icnic at Blue Lake. Each church is to bring enough food for their group. Drinks will be provided. Jay Hoffman will be the speaker. Meet at Parkrose at 6 p.m. Friday is the final night. Entered in the Open Class at Dog Fanciers Ass’n o f Oregon Dog Show Aug. 3, he took a three point major win, and was Best o f Breed, with 18 Basset Hounds entered. L ater in the day he competed in the Hound Group, and placed fourth, in company with some o f the top winning hounds on the West Coast. Corbett Church To Show Movie “Red Runs the River,” a p r o d u c tio n o f “ Unusual Films ” will be shown at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 13, at C o rb ett Christian Church, Corbett. The Civil War production, filmed in color, tells the true story o f the conversion of Richard Stoddert Ewell, hero o f the Confederacy.
